What's This Job All About?

In coordination with Family Office team members, the Family Office Portfolio Manager is responsible for developing investment policy statements, determining asset allocation, coordinating investment selection and implementation, and monitoring Family Office client portfolios that meet client objectives.  Responsible for ensuring that Family Office client portfolios are managed using highly competitive and innovative approaches to protect and maximize our client’s wealth.

What You'll Be Doing

 

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Ensure strong knowledge and suitable expertise to leverage sophisticated and innovative approaches to managing our client’s wealth.
  • Oversee completion of investment policy statement.
  • Develop and recommend strategies to achieve the investment goals of Family Office clients.
  • Conduct all aspects involved with managing Family Office client portfolios, including executing trades, maintaining investment action plans, monitoring and addressing overdrafts, conducting Reg. 9 investment reviews, and documenting account activities and client interaction.
  • Optimize portfolio execution through buy and sell recommendations of trades.
  • Meet with select clients to review investment performance and partner with Research to understand market changes based on economic and industry analysis, including objectives and asset allocation models, ensuring current allocations are appropriate.
  • Creatively implement and execute new investment strategies, robust risk mitigation approaches and process improvements in conjunction with the research team.
  • Provide analytic support for client consulting projects.
  • Work closely with Family Office and Research team members to support clients’ needs.
  • Participate in designated work-groups and projects as assigned.
  • Develop and implement process improvements.

Qualifications

What You Need for this Position

 

Minimum Education/ Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 3 years’ experience in investment management or equivalent education and experience.
  • Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA), Certified Investment Management Analyst (CIMA) or the Certified Fund Specialist (CFS) designations are preferred. Greenleaf Trust will consider candidates without key certifications; however, expects employees to earn relevant designations after being selected for role.
